Biography
Kristin Abhalter is an artist, technician, and designer who enjoys working with garments, costume, and movement. She is inspired by stagecraft, performative objects, and collaborative energy. Credits include designing and building wearable art for several wonderful choreographers in Chicago. 

As a curator, she co-directs RomanSusan.org since starting the artist run exhibition and event platform in 2012. 

Exhibition history includes NEIU Gallery, Flatland, Hyde Park Arts Center, Ignition Projects, Demo Project in Springfield, among other galleries. She holds an M.F.A. in Theatrical Design & Scenic Painting from University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Theatrical Design and Cultural Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis. Member of IATSE Studio Mechanics Local 476 as Set Designer.
